DocumentationExamplesRunTest compiles each of the 254+ documented examples as its own script. Once an example has run, its compilation is garbage, but the collector does not reclaim it while the test runs:

peak memory of the test host
the test alone, master 2,370 MB, 16 s
the full suite, master (1e79b0e) 8.2 GB, then killed by a local memory guard
the full suite without this test 2.0 GB
the test alone, collecting every example 390 MB, 31 s
the test alone, collecting every 20th example 1,106 MB, 18 s
the test alone, collecting every 5th example 569 MB, 19 s
the full suite, collecting every 5th example 2.4 GB, 15,458 passed

With the full suite killed locally, every branch's local suite run was void. That cost two runs before the cause was found.

Each example is compiled on its own, and the collector left the compilations standing: alone the
test peaked at 2.4 GB, and in the full suite the test host reached 8 GB. Collected every fifth
example it peaks at 570 MB, for 3 s more, and the suite at 2.4 GB.
