Curio v1.29.0 is the release for Filecoin network version 29, Solstice. It adds NV29 support alongside improvements to PDP operations, payment settlement, and Curio-PDP deployment.

🚀 Highlights

NV29 compatibility and sector quality upgrades

Curio supports Solstice's move to full quality-adjusted power for new sectors, regardless of their content. SPs can also upgrade eligible existing sectors using sptool sectors upgrade-quality after NV29 activates. (#​1531)

Larger PDP batches and more frequent settlement

PDP clients can add and remove larger batches of pieces. (#​1524, #​1501)

Payment settlement runs more frequently and automatically continues after a partial settlement. (#​1504)

Curio-PDP deployment and storage management

Curio-PDP setup is simpler with an updated Docker stack and storage folder selection in the admin UI. (#​1431)

⚠️ Upgrade prep for Storage Providers

• Calibration: Upgrade your chain node to Lotus v1.37.0 before the scheduled NV29 activation.
• Deal intake: This RC immediately stops accepting new verified MK12 deals and allocation-based MK20 deals, even before NV29 activates. Update affected clients before deploying; use Market 2.0 without allocations for new DDO deals. (#​1531)
• Curio-PDP storage: If your installation relied on automatic storage discovery, attach your existing folders through the Storage page after upgrading. (#​1431)
• Docker database access: The Compose database is no longer exposed on host ports. If other applications use those ports, restore the required mappings or connect them through the Compose network. (#​1503)

• Prevented a SupraSeal TreeR crash when the replica input cannot be opened, and improved validation of local sector/cache files before CommR checks. (#​1485)
• Reject incomplete remote PoRep vanilla-proof responses and try other available storage locations instead of accepting partial data. (#​1539)
• Stop assigning deals to sectors when they can no longer meet their start epoch, including MK20 DDO deals with an explicit start epoch. (#​1411)

🔧 Improvements

• Added indexes for PDP pull scheduling and piece-status IPNI lookups. (#​1476, #​1480)
• Completed FixParkPiece and PDPv0_DatasetIdx repair tasks stop scheduling themselves. Task details show their disabled status and reason. (#​1410)
• Default IPNI service and announcement URLs now use only cid.contact. Explicit operator configurations are not rewritten. (#​1483)

API Changes

• PDP additions: POST /pdp/data-sets/create-and-add, POST /pdp/data-sets/{dataSetId}/pieces, and POST /pdp/piece/pull replace the fixed 40-piece cap with packed-message validation against Filecoin's 64 KiB message limit. Oversized batches return HTTP 400; the supported piece count depends on encoded piece metadata and extraData. (#​1524)
• PDP deletions: DELETE /pdp/data-sets/{dataSetId}/pieces/{pieceId} no longer applies Curio's per-request deletion count cap or its rejection based on the existing on-chain removal queue. Contract and transaction limits still apply. (#​1501)
• Market intake: New verified MK12 deals and allocation-based MK20 DDO products are rejected. MK20 retains the allocation_id field for existing deals. CurioDealViewV1 remains version 1, but Curio passes allocationId = 0 from NV29 onward, including during upload finalization of previously accepted deals. Contract integrations must handle this value. • Market CLI: Removed curio market ddo and the sptool toolbox mk12-client allocate / list-allocations commands. Use Market 2.0 for new DDO deals without allocations. (#​1531)
• Admin RPC: Added StorageCandidates, StorageAttachLocal, and StorageDetachLocal for local storage management, plus SingletonTaskDisable and SingletonTaskEnable for tasks supporting disablement. Singleton-task information now includes Disabled, DisabledReason, and CanDisable. (#​1431, #​1410)

Dependencies

• Lotus updated to v1.37.0-rc1, go-state-types to v0.19.0, and filecoin-ffi to v1.37.0. (#​1531, #​1552)

Build and CI

• Source builds now require Go 1.26.8 or newer; the Curio-PDP Docker builder uses the same version. (#​1552)
• The Docker publishing workflow builds versioned Linux amd64 images for mainnet and Calibration. RC publication does not move the stable latest or calibnet image tags. (#​1431)
