npm audit fix --force downgraded eslint to 4 and mocha to 5, which added critical vulnerabilities and broke lint. Upgrade to eslint 10, mocha 12 and glob 14 instead, pin transitive minimatch/glob via overrides, migrate to ESLint flat config and the glob promise API.
