Describe the bug
Loop crashes when iOS launches it in the background shortly after the iPhone restarts, before the phone has been unlocked for the first time. Fresh install; no pump or CGM configured yet. Two crash reports with the same crash location:
- Exception: EXC_BREAKPOINT / SIGTRAP (Trace/BPT trap: 5) on main thread
- procRole: Non UI (background launch)
- Device uptime at crash: 18 s and 17 s
- isLocked: 1, wasUnlockedSinceBoot: 0
- Crash ~2 s after process launch

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior (suspected):
- Fresh install of Loop 3.14.8 (2), onboarding complete, no pump/CGM added
- Restart the iPhone
- Leave it locked for ~20 seconds
- Loop crashes in the background; after unlocking, it launches normally
Expected behavior
Loop should wait until protected data is available instead of crashing on a background launch before first unlock.
