Checked .github/workflows/release.yml: npm publication only runs pnpm changeset publish, but this package still has private: true. Changesets documents that private: true prevents a package from being published, so merging this commit consumes the SDK changeset and records version 0.22.0 without publishing that version; external SDK users therefore cannot receive the advertised agentId API. Remove private or add a separate SDK publication step before releasing.

For desktop, web, or third-party clients built against 2.x, this release removes the WebSocket event shapes and REST endpoints they use, so old clients can ignore the new frame or receive 404s when responding to interactions. Publishing that breaking contract change as 2.4.0 allows semver-compatible upgrades to break those clients; retain compatibility shims or release it as 3.0.0 after the required confirmation.

The selected parent commit 9793044 adds the user-facing KIMI_CODE_UPDATE_CHANNEL input and changes kimi upgrade and startup updates to follow or switch between stable and dev channels, but the generated 2.4.0 changelog has no entry for that feature and a repo-wide search finds no user documentation for the variable. Merging this version PR therefore ships an undiscoverable update-channel behavior after consuming all available changesets; add and consume a CLI changeset describing how users opt into the dev channel.
