The v0.4.0 publish ran mypy, which PR CI ran as non-blocking, and failed on two errors in the new ArrayOperations family: the leaf cache keyed on the class (AutoRegisterMeta's __hash__ does not match Hashable) and an unchecked optional memory_type. The cache now keys on the memory type value, and CI's mypy step blocks so publish-only failures surface on the PR. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The v0.4.0 publish failed at mypy (publish runs it; PR CI ran it with continue-on-error). Two errors in the new ArrayOperations family: the leaf cache keyed on the class, and an unchecked optional memory_type. The cache now keys on the memory type value; CI's mypy step now blocks. v0.4.0 was tagged but never reached PyPI; this releases as 0.4.1.
