Windows 2.3.0 failed to start on a PC without the Microsoft CRT, and the managed model runtime depended on unbundled OpenSSL DLLs. After startup was repaired, sandboxed Python commands could report success with empty output because BusyBox exited before the child finished. This change bundles the required CRT, disables unused runtime HTTPS support, and waits for real command output and exit status inside AppContainer.

It also fixes Windows worktree shell selection, Ctrl+Shift+Z redo while retaining Ctrl+Y, debug desktop stack exhaustion, and fresh-process GGUF selection. Removed configured model files cannot be selected through a stale cache. Windows test fixtures now handle clipboard/Git line endings, time zones and overlapping fake-vendor stderr logs. The compact exec schema retains cwd guidance while fitting the original 4,096-token tester limits.

Linux CI retains all checks while reducing debug-object disk usage. The AppImage build container's unavailable Alpine package revisions are refreshed against both architecture indexes. Retained musl/zlib source records match their linked package revisions, including all distribution patches; 19 source files were checked against APKBUILD SHA-512 values. The source-fetch regression passes. Main's documentation updates are merged, including published-version download instructions and support links.

Validation:

  • Windows CI at b5ecd8d: build, engine unit/integration tests, browser tests and both installer workflows passed. macOS builds passed for Apple silicon and Intel. Current-head CI is running.
  • Physical Windows 11 Home x64 laptop (Ryzen 3 5300U, 32 GB): both optimized preview and release-workflow installers passed clean-PATH startup and native WebView replace-all, undo, both redo shortcuts, disk-verified save and local-model settings checks.
  • Each optimized installer completed a fresh Gemma 4 E4B CPU repair task. Preview: 613.60 seconds; release-workflow installer: 582.62 seconds. Agent and independent verifier exited zero; all five original tests were preserved and passed. Exact installer/executable hashes are recorded in docs/WINDOWS_LAPTOP_QUALIFICATION.md.
  • The separate development run passed 1,653 additional property assertions; that broader check is not attributed to the optimized artifacts. Granite attempts did not complete reliably. Both optimized Gemma runs took unnecessary exploratory turns; these are bounded fixture results, not broad model-quality claims.
  • Sandbox/native-tool regressions: 22 passed, including failure with the original BusyBox and success with the patch. Windows tester-route and pressure-compaction regressions pass at 4,096 tokens. Workspace/all-target Clippy with warnings denied, formatting and secret scans passed.
  • Both Linux architectures passed workspace tests and 100-task native-window endurance at b5ecd8d. ARM then failed on obsolete Alpine pins; the refreshed inputs require full packaging requalification. An earlier transient process-inventory permission error has additional safe diagnostics, without weaker ownership checks; its cause is not claimed resolved.

Remaining release gates: current-head CI, final release publication workflow and qualification of the exact public Windows installer (or proof that its bytes match a qualified artifact). Real cloud-provider accounts, Windows ARM64 and Windows 10 were not exercised. Windows GPU acceleration is not qualified. Website files are staged with a public-asset checksum gate; the site owner will publish them, and this task leaves the live website unchanged.
