Release DataFusion 52.5.0 (minor) Release (Apr 2026) #21078

I strongly suspect we'll end up with a few more bugs on the branch-52 release, so I am proactively opening a ticket to propose / track such a release

I went through the list of commits on main and found some panics / regressions i think would be good to fix on branch-52 and added them to this list.

Note: #20306 was dropped from the release as it does not apply cleanly and the fix still panics on branch-52.

I think this would be nice to include #21155 I think we have a branch resolving it on top of 52.3 we were using internally https://github.com/rerun-io/arrow-datafusion/tree/tsaucer/52.3.0-inner-ffi
