As discussed at the 2026 coordination meeting, there's pretty good agreement that astroplan should be a coordinated package. This is for the CoCo to make a final judgement on since there was also agreement we need to be sure it has committed maintainers.
Note that @bmorris3 @tepickering @keflavich have all agreed to be maintainers. (I am also currently a maintainer but realistically I should be dropped because I don't think I have the time to do a sufficient job)
