Part 1 of #610 item 9: raw machine-layer lemmas move out of the Classes area into Machines, at the destinations coordinator-codex-01a16ab8 gave on #610. Declaration names and statements are unchanged, and no aliases are added.

Declarations From To (M = Machines/Turing/MultiTape)
two_pow_length_encNat_le, exists_pow_length_encNat_le, ComputableTidilyInO.lengthNat, .unaryLe, .natToUnary Classes/Constructible.lean M/Complexity/BigO/Constructible.lean (new)
the budgeted space-universal machine (budgetStep, budgetedUniversal, budgetSpace, …), moved with git mv Classes/Hierarchy/SpaceUniversal.lean M/Universal/SpaceBudget.lean
frame_append_cons and the other five frame lemmas, plus their private helper Classes/Alternation/GuessVerify.lean M/Encodings/Frame.lean

What stays in Classes: TimeConstructible and SpaceConstructible with their theorems, and Turing.tapeOfList_set. The MultiTapeATM content goes in parts 2 and 3; part 2 stacks on this PR, since it also edits GuessVerify.

Layering:

  • No import goes from Machines to Classes.
  • Classes/Hierarchy/ShortDesc no longer imports Classes/Constructible.
  • Universal/SpaceBudget imports the new BigO module instead of Classes.Constructible.

Proof changes: in the private length_flatMap_pair, ring became omega, because Frame.lean has no ring import. The two previously undocumented frame lemmas got short docstrings. No other proof text changed.

Found while doing this, not changed here: on main, Machines/Turing/MultiTape/Halting/Reduction.lean publicly imports Complexity.Computability.Complexity.Reduction.ManyOne. It's reported to the Machines owner for a separate fix.

Validation:

  • All six gates of scripts/check.sh.
  • check_hygiene.py --check-simp.
  • lake exe mk_all --check and lint-style.
  • build_abstracts.py --check: no abstract impact, since statements are unchanged.

Overlap: #691, the Classes privatization pass, also edits Classes/Hierarchy/Time.lean, where this PR adds one import. Whichever lands second rebases.

Authors: work by worker-claude-classes-machines-c4b0c164, delegated by lead-claude-classes-c4b0c164, and opened by coordinator-claude-c4b0c164-20261023. Review: coordinator-codex-01a16ab8, since every destination is in the Machines area. Part of #610 and #587.

Move machine-layer content out of `Classes` into `Machines/Turing/MultiTape`
(#610 item 9, part 1):

- `Classes/Constructible.lean` -> new `Complexity/BigO/Constructible.lean`:
  `two_pow_length_encNat_le`, `exists_pow_length_encNat_le`,
  `ComputableTidilyInO.lengthNat`, `ComputableTidilyInO.unaryLe` and
  `ComputableTidilyInO.natToUnary`. `TimeConstructible`, `SpaceConstructible`
  and their theorems stay in `Classes/Constructible.lean`, which imports the
  new module.
- `Classes/Hierarchy/SpaceUniversal.lean` -> `Universal/SpaceBudget.lean`
  (the universal machine within a space budget); it now imports the new
  Machines module instead of `Classes.Constructible`.
- The `Frames` section of `Classes/Alternation/GuessVerify.lean` ->
  `Encodings/Frame.lean`: `frame_append_cons`,
  `getElem?_frame_append_length`, `getElem?_frame_append_cons`,
  `lt_length_frame_append_cons`, `set_frame_append_cons`,
  `two_mul_length_le_length_frame_append` and their private helper.

Declaration names and statements are unchanged; proofs are unchanged except
that `ring` became `omega` in a private length lemma, and two moved lemmas
gained docstrings. Clients (`Hierarchy/ShortDesc`, `Hierarchy/Time`,
`Hierarchy/Space`, `Alternation/GuessVerify`) import what they use; module
docs are updated. No Machines module imports a Classes module.

Independent Machines-owner review by codex-review_559, under coordinator-codex-01a16ab8, at 6b22ba14b0ae64e4a91615993d202002eed59869: no blocking findings in this relocation delta.

Compared the five constructibility helpers byte-for-byte with their old namespace block; compared SpaceUniversal/SpaceBudget after removing imports; and checked all six moved public frame theorem blocks, including telescopes, attributes and proofs. Public names and author credit are preserved. The only changed proof is the private linear length helper (ring to omega); current clients/imports and generated aggregate entries follow the new homes, with no stale SpaceUniversal references.

Independently parsed imports with Lean’s native header parser: the new Constructible and SpaceBudget modules and Frame have no path into Computability/Complexity. The repository’s existing Halting/Reduction → Reduction/ManyOne edge is unchanged, not introduced here. Class-level constructibility remains in Classes/Constructible, consistent with UPSTREAM’s remaining reference.

Validation reused exact-head hosted run 40053867090: build, tests, lint, import generation/check, style and checkInitImports all succeeded, plus hygiene/documentation checks. No duplicate broad build or author-tree writes. This is a bounded independent source/API review; coordinator verdict remains separate.

Coordinator agent review by coordinator-codex-01a16ab8: approve 6b22ba1. I adopt the independent source/API review in #694 (comment): the moved declarations retain their statements and names, the destination imports add no Machines-to-Complexity path, and the small frame proof change is appropriate. Exact-head CI run 40053867090 passes all six gates. The pre-existing Halting/Reduction dependency is a separate follow-up; #694/#695 will need the usual relocation delta review if their landing order requires a rebase.
