Sil still saw scrollbars and a growing calendar while the booking on /contact/ loaded, and wants "Contact opnemen" in the header there too.

Cal.com reports linkReady at its two-column skeleton. When the times arrive it switches to three columns and slides them in for about 350ms. That overflows the frame by a few pixels, which shows both scrollbars, and the height jumps from 571 to 534px.

  • A spinner (Fulldev UI) holds the booking's space from the first paint. The embed stays transparent, inert and out of the layout until Cal.com reports bookerReady, plus 500ms to settle.
  • From an 809px viewport, 572px is held throughout, so the footer in view stays put; Safari settles at 571px at some widths. Narrower, Cal.com stacks, and about 85vw + 50rem is held while it loads; afterwards the box follows the booking, which gets shorter as the day's times pass.
  • The frame gets scrolling="no". Cal.com sizes it to the booking, so an overflow while it moves or changes view only clips for a moment and never shows a scrollbar. Without it, Chromium shows a lasting scrollbar at 360 and 390px.
  • The direct link shows when embed.js fails, when Cal.com reports linkFailed, or when the booking is not ready after 10 seconds; the frame stays hidden until it is.
  • The box uses data-cal-embed, not data-cal-link, because embed.js opens a popup for clicks inside any data-cal-link element. That attribute is also on main and on full.dev.
  • embed.js is preloaded in the head of the contact page.
  • The header keeps "Contact opnemen" on /contact/, with aria-current="page".

Tested on the preview in Chromium with scrollbars shown, at widths from 360 to 1512px:

  • no visible scrollbar;
  • no clipped content;
  • no height change after the booking shows;
  • the link appears when Cal.com is blocked, stalls or fails;
  • no popup on a click in the loading space;
  • no scrollbar while clicking through to the booking form.

Also checked:

  • iOS Safari on iPhone and iPad simulators, and Android Chrome: the whole booking shows, down to the last time.
  • Desktop Safari on Otis: no scrollbars. Its locked screen throttles Cal.com's timers, so the frame sometimes kept the skeleton height there, in every variant tested, including main's.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Cal.com builds its booking in steps and overflows its frame while the
times slide in, so scrollbars flashed and the calendar grew after it
showed. A spinner now holds its space until Cal.com reports bookerReady
and has settled, the frame never scrolls, and embed.js is preloaded.
The header keeps "Contact opnemen" on the contact page.

Walkthrough

The header button now appears on the page it links to and receives aria-current="page" when its href matches the current pathname. The contact calendar embed now uses a loading spinner, tracks loading, ready, and failed states, and shows a direct link when it is not loading or ready. The contact layout passes a loading label and preloads Cal.com’s embed script.

- Reserve Cal.com's stacked height below a 768px frame and 572px above,
  so the footer stays put at every width, also in Safari.
- When the booking is not ready after 10 seconds, show the direct link
  and keep the frame hidden until it is.
- Rename the box attribute: embed.js opens a popup for clicks inside any
  data-cal-link element, so a tap in the loading space opened one.
- Keep the hidden frame inert until it shows.

At 808px the frame is 768px wide, and Cal.com still stacks up to and
including 768px.

Cal.com's stacked booking gets shorter as the day's times pass, so a
held space left a gap below it. Below the fold the box now follows the
booking once it shows; from 809px the one-row space stays.
