👍 A 5-years-later bump of sorts. It would indeed be nice to be able to view Markdown documents inside xreader without the need to use or install another program.
Hi,
adding my +1 here. This feature request has become even more relevant now that AI coding tools like Claude Code and ChatGPT produce Markdown files everywhere .
I got project docs, README files, changelogs, notes, you name it. So I end up with tons of .md files that I just want to quickly read without firing up an editor or converting them first. Of course one can read markdown, it's a glorified text file, but a proper display with aligned tables, bigger headlines, spacing etc would be really nice. And my eyes are not getting younger, proper rendering becomes more important year by year in ways I would have never anticipated 10 years ago.
Xreader already renders html for epub support, so adding Markdown shouldn't be a huge lift technically. Would be a really welcome addition.
Thanks
I'm using Xreader 2.0.2 on Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon.
Please support display of Markdown documents.
