Plans two m0 follow-ups, picked under /afk with the recommended option:

  • quest/m0/catalog-finish.md [S], from #91: the program's and the recording's catalogs end with finish() on quit, not a drop.
  • quest/m0/ui-frame-rate.md [M], from #85: profile and fix the UI's ~25 fps while the program renders.

Both are linked in quest/m0/README.md.

Automated review by review (OpenAI)

Reviewed head a13929a3c3d9cd08806c1e7ed91063aecfaf03e9 against base 79c60b915bc6c4cac8225039dd26387c171e8fef.

No actionable findings. The catalog plan matches the current Program::drop path and explicitly requires confirming the viewer-visible failure before fixing it. The UI plan keeps lock contention as a hypothesis, asks for real-display and Xvfb profiling, and preserves program-render and encoder performance as constraints rather than prescribing an unverified redesign.

Direction: keep both follow-ups focused on their measured outcomes. No plan changes requested.

Verification limits: GitHub-only static inspection of all three changed files, the linked PR reports, relevant catalog teardown and UI/render paths, and pinned catalog producer code. I read the pinned quest context as source but did not execute quest context, checks, tests, or profiling, and did not independently reproduce the reported warnings or timing measurements. COMMENT only, not approval.

Walkthrough

The changes add requirements and planning documents for two quests. One covers finishing catalogs when the studio quits or stops publishing. The other covers investigating editor frame-rate slowdown during program rendering. The documents describe teardown paths, measurements, an unverified lock-wait hypothesis, and proposed verification and profiling steps.

Merge Risk: Low · previous review a1392

The planning updates are mergeable with a small follow-up: include verification that the recording catalog finishes cleanly, alongside the program catalog.

Test the recording catalog’s end on quit.

The relay test can pass while _recorded is unfinished. The existing recording shutdown test checks the MP4, not the catalog’s end.

Pick (/quest-complete, maintainer away under /afk, recommended option): ✅ Merge. Took CodeRabbit's nitpick: the catalog-finish plan now tests the recording's catalog too.
