Upgrade to 4.5

Deprecated not implementing unique constraint introspection in MetadataProvider

Doctrine\DBAL\Schema\Metadata\MetadataProvider implementations should now implement getUniqueConstraintColumnsForAllTables() and getUniqueConstraintColumnsForTable(). Not implementing them is deprecated. Both methods will become part of the interface in DBAL 5.0.

Deprecated the simple_array type

The simple_array type has been deprecated. Use the json type instead.

The following class and constant have been deprecated:

• SimpleArrayType,
• Types::SIMPLE_ARRAY.

Marked AbstractNamedObject and AbstractOptionallyNamedObject classes as internal

The AbstractNamedObject and AbstractOptionallyNamedObject classes have been marked as internal. Use the NamedObject and OptionallyNamedObject interfaces instead.

Deprecated Schema features

The Schema constructor has been marked as internal. Use Schema::editor() to instantiate an editor and SchemaEditor::create() to create a schema.

The following Schema methods have been deprecated:

• Schema::createTable() - use Schema::edit() and SchemaEditor::addTable() instead.
• Schema::renameTable() - use Schema::edit() and SchemaEditor::renameTable() instead.
• Schema::dropTable() - use Schema::edit() and SchemaEditor::dropTable() instead.
• Schema::createSequence() - use Schema::edit() and SchemaEditor::addSequence() instead.
• Schema::dropSequence() - use Schema::edit() and SchemaEditor::dropSequence() instead.

Schema::createTable() applies the default table options from SchemaConfig to the table it constructs. Callers migrating to SchemaEditor::addTable() must apply those options themselves, e.g. via Table::editor()->setOptions($schemaConfig->getDefaultTableOptions()).
