Requesting PID 0x2012 under VID 0x1209 for the 12pad, an open-source 12-key hotswap macropad with rotary encoder by Positron Electronic.

Thanks!

I believe this project is eligible for a pidcode. It doesn't have a PCB, but it does have a wiring diagram and everything else needed and is open source.

I recommend merging.

Friendly ping — this PR was approved by @cnlohr 19 days ago and is blocking QMK upstream merge for the 12pad keyboard (qmk/qmk_firmware#26362). Mind taking a look when you get a chance? Thanks!

I'm sorry, looks like because I approved #1258 it broke this issue, can you re-pull this issue @juarendra ?

I was able to fix the conflict, but, I was able to approve that, but, I don't see a link to the actual board files/schematics. CAn you add those @juarendra ?

Thanks for checking this.

The 12pad is a handwired design based on a WeAct Blackpill STM32F401. It does not use a custom PCB, so there are no KiCad/Eagle PCB or schematic files to link.

The board and hardware documentation are available here:

The wiring diagram documents the matrix, rotary encoder, RGB wiring, and connections to the Blackpill board. The repository also contains the complete open-source firmware and hardware files.

I didn't see the diagram etc. I didn't think to look in the "Doc" folder.

But this is even more confusing because your firmware is labeled for the RP2040. Not the STM32F401.

Additionally, please include on things like the wiring diagram what the board is.

Sorry, this is all very confusing to me, the files are not in a clear organization to my understanding.

Please @ me in thread with any replies, @juarendra

@cnlohr To clarify the firmware scope: the supported and production firmware for this PID request is for the STM32F401 on the WeAct Blackpill. The RP2040 firmware was only an experimental/testing variant and is not the target for this PID.

The wiring diagram is here:
https://github.com/juarendra/12pad-QMK-VIA/blob/main/DOC/WIRING%20MACROPAD%2012PAD%20BY%20POSITRON%20ELEKTRONIK.drawio.pdf

It documents the matrix, rotary encoder, RGB wiring, and connections to the WeAct Blackpill STM32F401. Is this wiring diagram still missing any information needed for review, or is it sufficient? If more detail is needed, please let me know what should be added.

I am willing to accept this as-is, but in the future please include details about exactly what hardware is being used on all the schematics / wiring diagrams.
