Proposed changes

Closes #2684

DecodeData handled charset=big5 only when it came from a <meta> tag (#2201). A response that declares Big5 in the Content-Type header and has no <meta> was left undecoded, so -title (and anything else that reads the decoded body) saw raw Big5 bytes. This adds big5 to the header switch, next to gbk and euc-kr.

Proof

  • New TestExtractTitleDecodesBig5HeaderCharset in common/httpx/title_test.go (httptest server, Content-Type: text/html; charset=Big5, Big5 title, no meta). It fails without the change ("\xa4\xa4\xa4\xe5") and passes with it.
  • go test ./common/httpx/ and go vet ./common/httpx/ pass.
  • Against a local server: before [], after [中文]; the <meta charset="big5"> case is unchanged.

Checklist

  • Pull request is created against the dev branch
  • All checks passed (lint, unit/integration/regression tests etc.) with my changes
  • I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works
  • I have added necessary documentation (if appropriate)

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Title extraction now correctly decodes Big5-encoded text when the response specifies the exact Big5 charset, including quoted values. Similar charset names remain unchanged.

…es it

DecodeData handled charset=big5 only when it came from a <meta> tag
(projectdiscovery#2201). A response that declares Big5 in the Content-Type header and
has no <meta> was left undecoded, so titles and match strings came out
as raw Big5 bytes.

Walkthrough

DecodeData now uses Decodebig5 when the response Content-Type header specifies charset=big5. A new test checks that ExtractTitle returns "中文" for a Big5-encoded response.

Explanation

Issue #2684 requires Big5 decoding when Content-Type declares charset=Big5 and no meta charset exists. DecodeData now detects an exact charset=big5 parameter and calls Decodebig5. TestExtractTitleDecodesBig5HeaderCharset covers a Big5 title from an HTTP header without a meta tag. The exact-value test also covers quoted Big5 and rejects big5-hkscs and big50.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The changes are limited to common/httpx/encodings.go and common/httpx/title_test.go. The helper supports exact charset parameter matching, and the tests verify the requested decoding and non-matching charset values. These changes support issue #2684 and show no unrelated behavior or files.
